From cheesy to overused to the downright lame.
The clichés
1. "Did we meet before? You look familiar."
2. "How do you feel about love at first sight?"
3. "Excuse me, are you a model?"
4. "What's your sign?"
5. "You look like you're waiting for someone."
6. "Something tells me we have a lot in common. How should we find out?"
7. "Here's my number. What's yours?"
The cheesy
1. "Did I just bump into you? Or did you just bump into me?"
2. "I'm feeling a little off today. Would you like to turn me on?"
3. "I've lost my phone number. Can I have yours?"
4. "Do you mind if I take you home with me right now?"
5. "I think there's something wrong with my eyes because I can't take them off you."
6. "What does it feel like to be the most beautiful girl in this room?"
7. "Do you have a name or can I call you mine?"
8. "Your legs must be tired because you've been running through my mind all night."
9. "If I get hooked on you, will you hook up with me?"
The failed flattery
1. "You look as cute as your dog!"
2. "Nobody ever says no to me."
3. "All those curves, and me with no brakes."
4. "You remind me of a girl I used to date."
5. "If I told you that you had a great body, would you hold it against me?"
6. "I've never met a woman I couldn't learn to love."
7. "What's a nice girl like you doing in a dirty mind like mine?"
Moral of the story?
Pickup lines don't work, but they're definitely great for a laugh.
I'm not really back yet, but I have a lillte time to escape from the madness.

Oh yes! I remember these lines...I've also had "Do you wanna see my place?"
and I love, "Hey baby...can I get your number?"
Ugh.
So glad that part of my life is over...
I had a guy say this: "Did we meet before? You look familiar" and I replied with a line from a book of answers to pathetic pick up line "Yes, I am the receptionist at the Venereal Diseases Clinic. You have an appointment next week, remember?"
lol
Waahaa... I have all this kind of pick-up lines written in my quote book, definitely great for laugh, hehe...
Well here I spare you some pick-up lines I collected but I dunno whether it's lame or smart instead:
"You came back to this bar to see me tonight, didn't you?"
"What if it wasn't you I came here to see tonight?"
"Well, ya’ got lucky."
(Paul Newman and Charlotte Rampling, The Verdict, 1982).
“Do we know each other?”
“Why, do you think we're going to? Because I already know an awful lot of people and until one of them dies I couldn't possibly meet anyone else.”
“Well, if anyone goes on the critical list, let me know.”
(Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, Charade, 1963)

Ok, if a guy ever said "Do you mind if I take you home with me right now?" to me I'd run for my life.
He's probably an axe-murderer. Zwink! zwink! zwink!
Did I just bump into you ? Or did you just bump into me ?
LOL, reminds me of somebody from the past ...
It's nice sometimes to play with the cheesy, just to check which one is the smartest
Haha... funny post.
I guess I'd prefer the cliches. They're flirting in a polite way...:D
sy kira tadi bener2 barat an...:D
Typical online flirt:
Kamu cantik juga ya?
hahaha...
I so love this one:
What's a nice girl like you doing in a dirty mind like mine?
Unfortunately, I'm the one who has the dirty mind all the time. :P~
Thanks for the post, ecky.
I'm glad to say that I've never used these lines. The best line I have is, "HI"
Best one I ever used: "How do you like your eggs in the morning, fertilised or unfertilised"
But them, Im a sleazy little polar bear :)
Did anybody ever use Joey's signature pick-up line, How you doin' ? I could never pull that one off.
You might want to add this to the 'cliché' list:
"Very good read, nice blog"
oh, nice blog by the way :)
