American Idol, Americans Dream...

American Idol season 7 just begun couple of weeks ago. The audition has started in many cities in the USA and I would say the auditions tape is best medicine for my mood swing thanks to PMS!.

I do understand people will follow their dreams because without dreams you will not be able to move forward, and dreams give you reasons to do your best at whatever you're good at and pursue your dreams is a good reason to live your life until you have achieved it.

I do notice that people who made it to Hollywood are "normal" ones. They know the judges will acknowledge their talent not their silly outfit. But I really admire their self esteem, they have strong will in pursuing their dreams to be the next American Idol, even though the outcome didn't come out well.

By far, Renaldo Lapuz's audition tape is my fave. He loves Simon Cowell and he created a song for him "I am your brother". I'm sure he will be next William Hung :)

Check out "I am your brother" song here:

Happy Thursday people.

Love oh love...

In one occasion a friend of mine told me once that she was involved with this guy long time ago, and the guy told her that he loves her but he's not in love with her.

That even make me confused... How can a person love someone without being in love with him/her?

Another case, she broke up her 2.5 years relationship because she didn't fall in love for him. She cares about him, but not in love with him. Even though the guy loves her so much. And she told me that she wants to be in love with a person not being loved.

Ah another term, in love and being love.

An old friend of mine was confused to choose between 2 men. She's in love with A but she married B instead because she says she loves being loved by B, and their baby boy almost 1 years old now.

One told me that she prefer being loved by her partner although she's not in love with him. She says if her partner is in love with her it's guarantee that he won't cheat on her (?)

I guess, I'm not an expert on this L thingy but one thing I know I want to be in love, to love and being loved by my partner.

Because I believe there should be take and give in a relationship, you can't just take all the time or give all the way... Compatibility is important.

If only love is that simple.

Feel free to drop me a line if you have other thought on this subject.

Better late than never...

Combination of having my period and about to get flu/cold make me can't think of any idea to post today, so when I read this post from Sandy I decided to tag my self :)

2008 New Years Questions

(Yeah yeah, I should do this days ago, but hey it's still 2008)
Tagged by Sandy (Actually I tagged my self)

Here’s the rule: Remove 1 question from below, and add in your personal question, make it a total of 20 questions, then tag 8-10 people in your list, list them out at the end of this post. Notify them in their chat box that he/she has been tagged.

Let's begin....

1. At what age do you wish to marry?
I do wish that I will get married someday, but I never decide at what age because I'm afraid I will be depressed if I haven't done it at that certain age ;)

2. What color do you like most?
Only one? Uhm.. Basically I like all colors, my closets full of black clothes but doesn't mean that black is my fave, yes black can make me look slimmer but I do wear other colors too.

3. Where is the place that you want to go the most?
Currently, at the moment, at this point of time, at this
hour, at this minutes, I want to go to Kuala Lumpur. Why? Because my baby is in KL, so I wish I was there with him.

4. Which part of you do you hate the most?
My flabby arms. I have to work it out to make it firm, you can notice every time I gained weight from this particular part. I really hate it that someday I wish I have courage to do liposuction on that particular body hee hee (just wish)

5. When you encounter a sad moment, what would you do?
Cry, cry cry alot until I can't cry and then watch movies or go to the gym. One wise person says exercise can increase hormone and that you will feel good afterwards. Yeah, I pick up ice cream or chocolate on the way back home, that's why I feel better after gym :))

6. What are you afraid to lose the most?
My passion of work. I can't do this work if I lose passion. Advertising surely needs passion though.

7. If you win $1 million, what would you do?
Faint!... Do you know how much is that in my currency? $1 = Rp 9.300 so it's Rp 9.3000.000.000.. it has a lot of zeros
Buy a house, buy a car, give some to my family, save and travel around the world baby hell yeahh!

8. What's your wish for the year ahead?
Happiness, healthy, promotion *wink*.
Still with my baby and going stronger :D

9. How did you celebrate the New Year?
We went to Public and then move to Embassy and left at 1 am yeah.. we are old couple hee hee.

10. Till now, what is the moment that you regret the most?
Not saying, showing and express my love to my late father and brother :(. I really hope they know up there that I truly love them in my heart.

11. Which type of person do you hate the most?
Liar, cheater, rapist, killer, one who can't stop talking and one who like to kiss ass to get what they want.

12. What is your ambition?
On personal base: right now, I want to lose 6 kg or 13 pounds. Wish me luck people.
On professional side: I'm working on my promotion and prove to company that I deserve it :).

13. If you had one wish what would you wish for?
I wish to have more wishes. Why would I stick to one wish if I could get more ;)

14. Name one of your body parts your hubby or boyfriend tells you he adores?
I think it's too private to mention here, but hell yeah... I'll tell you.. My boyfriend likes my cheeky smiles... That means I've done something but asking for his forgiveness or just want to tease him with something I do or I say. It's not private? really? oops sorry.

15. What is the best gift you can give to someone this year?
Still thinking what to give for my baby's aka boyfriend's birthday present in April ;)

16. List two of your Top Ten New Year's Resolutions
I've never made any NY Resolution, why should I wait for once a year to make resolution if I can make it any time I want.

17. What is the craziest thing you'll do or have done in 2008?
Joined blog 365, what was I thinking to join this community and write everyday! But through this blog 365 I have a chance to meet great people (too many to mention one by one)

18. What was the best lesson you learned in 2007?
Spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

19. In this very moment, are you doing what you thought you'd be doing at this stage in your life?
Yeah, I have good job, good career, sweet-nice-good-loving boyfriend, surround by my loved
ones. But I would love to get marriage and have children and travel around the world. Hmm.. How would I travel around the world if I have children? I guess I have to work more harder to get the money so I can bring the whole family to travel around the world (still thinking whether we'll take the nannies or not) *dreaming mode on*

20. What was the best thing happened to you in 2007 (this is my question)
Set up a lunch with Alfie when we were in Bali, 20 January 2007, and that was my first time meet this Ozzy boy, whose become my baby, my boyfriend now :)
Joined blog 365... The reason I met you, yeah you... and you and you.. and many more

After you read this, consider yourself tagged... Give it a try, this is fun ;)

10 Holiday Gifts That Could Ruin a Romance

I search around Yahoo and other sites what they should avoid giving to girlfriends or boyfriends. Here's what I got in summary.

Gift to avoid #1: Unless you are planning on proposing, avoid gifting jewelry, especially a ring, as that perceived level of commitment may intimidate your sweetheart.

Gift to avoid #2: While a ring may be considered overboard, anything impersonal, such as a kitchen appliance or gift card can be construed as thoughtless or insincere.

Gift to avoid #3: Avoid gifting lingerie for your first holidays together. It may be considered too intimate and send the wrong message.

Gift to avoid #4: Gifting something selfish, such as sporting event tickets when you know your significant other isn't a sports fan, can relay that you may be more focused on your own interests than that of the person you are getting the gift for.

Lump-of-coal award winner: The boyfriend who bought his girlfriend a Wii. Turns out that she wasn't a gamer, he just needed a place to put the Wii because he already had an Xbox and Playstation 3 at his house.

Gift to avoid #5: Work-related items that promote efficiency at the office should generally be avoided. Why bring up "work" during the holidays, which is a time for relaxation.

Gift to avoid #6: Clothing may be offensive, especially if you aren't sure about what size to purchase.

Gift to avoid #7: Animals as presents are generally bad ideas unless you know the person very well. Pets are huge commitments and way too serious for a "first holiday" together.

Lump-of-coal award winner: The boyfriend who gave his girlfriend a rabbit that died the next day.

Lump of irony award winner: The boyfriend who gave his girlfriend a puppy. The puppy required so much time and attention that the girl didn't have any time left over for the boyfriend.

Gift to avoid #8: Re-gifting is never a good idea, especially if it's a gift from a past relationship.

Gift to avoid #9: Forget cliches, such as boxes of chocolates or flowers. They show little thought or effort.

Gift to avoid #10: Avoid gifts that may suggest that your significant other needs to change something about himself/herself, such as exercise clothes or gym equipment, which may say that he/she doesn't look good enough as he/she is.

Hope the tips can help you, for me... I'm just getting confused what to buy for Sam's birthday in April :)

My commitment

I joined Body Combat class last Thursday and I still have sore body until today ugh... My legs, back, deltoid/shoulders are in pain.

Here is the benefit you'll get from Body Combat (taken from Les Mils site):
  • Improves heart and lung function and reduces the risk of heart disease

  • Tones and shapes key muscle groups

  • Burns calories for a leaner body

  • Improves co-ordination and agility

  • Improves bone density

  • Improves posture and core strength and stability

  • Builds self-confidence

Since I need to loose some weights, I have made commitment to myself that I will try my best to exercise everyday and also join this Body Combat class every once in a week, hopefully I can lose this unwanted fat soon.

And in result I won't defeated by this sore body, I need to stay strong and motivated :D

However, I was looking for tips How to Ease Sore Muscle and here is what I got:

Introduction

Sore muscles can be cause by numerous things ranging from sleeping or sitting awkwardly, lifting heavy objects or an accident. Massage therapists, sports creams and medications are available to relieve sore, tight muscles. But before spending money, try these simple remedies at home to ease aching muscles.

Steps
  1. Apply an ice pack for 20 minutes to any area that hurts. Repeat this every hour until the pain subsides.
  2. Stretch the sore area gently to rid your body of lactic acid, which contributes to the pain.
  3. Walk 15 to 30 minutes at least once a day to increase circulation throughout your body. This will also help deliver much-needed oxygen to the sore muscles.
  4. Drink a minimum of eight glasses (64 oz.) of water daily - more if you're active - to hydrate your body.
  5. Avoid strenuous activity as long as you're in pain.
Tips and Warnings
  • Be sure to warm up before exercising and stretching.
  • For people with chronic conditions or continual episodes of pain, heat can work better than ice (if you are not treating an acute injury). Try a heating pad, or a warm shower or bath.
  • Taking an over-the-counter nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication, such as ibuprofen, may also reduce muscle soreness.
  • Avoid exercising or stretching to the point of pain.
I will do 15 - 30 minutes walking after this, and hopefully it will help to ease my sore body.

Wish me luck people, hopefully I can stick to my plan and won't bail out when I reach the gym today.

How To Get Over Being Left Out

Everyone gets left out sometimes. . Whether it be by best friends, new friends, or boyfriends. Here's how to deal with it.

Steps
  1. Try and become involved with people by asking "What are you doing this weekend?" or "Would you like to go to the movies with me?"
  2. If these people don't want to hang out, find other people to be friends with. The only way to make friends is by getting out and talking to people.
  3. If you cannot, then make other plans; get yourself occupied with something else. You can try the relaxation method, which would be to take a long bath, and make it really really nice with bubbles and everything. Also try watching a happy TV show. You can try the "busy" approach, which is by occupying yourself with jobs, like baby sitting. It would truly get your mind off the thing you're excluded from.
  4. Plan events for the future. Do not exclude your friends that didn't invite you, but just invite other people. It'll surprise them and show them that you have other friends, too.
  5. Do what makes you happy. Try self indulging, like get your hair or nails done. Go shopping. Do something that will make you feel better about yourself.
Tips
  • Remember, you don't want to be with the same people all the time. Meet new people and don't always be "in their face."
  • If you can't figure out what's wrong, and if you need to change something, ask people who see you every day. Get multiple opinions. Have the people write down what they think, then compare lists. It's always a good idea to ask. Who knows? You might find someone who won't make you feel left out.
Warnings
  • Decide why people won't hang out with you. Is there a reason? Something you can change?
  • Don't think there is anything wrong with you because someone doesn't feel like seeing you. It doesn't mean they don't like you or are being cruel. If, however, they keep doing it talk to them.
Being left out sucks, hope above tips can help you get over it. If your friends don't want to hang out with you then it's their lost not yours.

Why do the talented artists/actors die young???

I mean.... why did they have to die at such a great time in their lives... just as everything was coming together for them...

We will never know how huge Selena, Aaliyah, Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, John Lennon, River Phoenix, Freddy Mercury, John Ritter , JFK. Jr, Jim Morrison, James Dean, John Belushi, Gilda Radner, Jonathan Brandis, Chris Farley, Bob Marley, John Candy, Bruce & Brandon Lee, and the latest ones Brad Renfro and Heath Ledger ..... just to name a few......

We will never know just how far they would have reached...... may they all rest in peace!!

For Kurt Cobain, River Phoenix, Brad Renfro and Heath Ledger case, did it happen because they're too young to be famous? All of them were 20 something actors. Such a shame because they are soo talented and young.

Or simply because they couldn't handle the fame and the pressure?

Only each individual and God know the answer.

Anyhow, we never know when death is coming after us, so I guess we just have to be ready to face it whenever our time comes.

Busy and alive

Call me crazy, freak, weirdo or any name you want to. But I feel alive when I'm busy and have so much things to do.

I easily get bore when I don't have anything to do.

I have 3 TVCs (TV Commercial) on progress. Client has approved all 3 storylines last Thursday, and now we are in the process of searching the right Director to shoot these 3 TVCs. 1 TVC should be on air on March so we are pretty much preparing things to meet deadline.

The plan is to shoot these 3 TVCs back to back so we will secure the whole year. There will be another TVC for other brand, but it's going to be in Q4 so I still have much times.

Wish me luck, hopefully everything is going to be smooth and not so much painful as in last year TVC. We spent 3 months back and fourth for revision and approval, and trips to KL twice for post production.

I guess this is one of the other reasons I decided to stay, because I can imagine my days will be busy and alive!

Crazy? Yup, that's me :)

I decided

If you want to know what is my decision regarding this subject, just had a meeting with my MD this morning and I decided to stay in my current company.

There are couple of considerations from my side.

1) Working hours

In new company (if I join them), I might have to work till really really late. How late? Could spend time at supplier to supervise printing until 5 am in the morning. For your information, Client Service like me usually don't go to that kind of places, creative is the one in charge, but in my case the creative team have decline to do it, so I'm the one who have to go there and to make sure all jobs delivered on time and meet client's standard.

In my current company, the working hours is normal. Yes, stay at the office until 12am the latest occasionally still consider as normal in advertising. I have a friend whose working hours almost 12 hours everyday, and she sometimes has to go to work on weekend, crazy.

2) Client

Well, client is client. They always have power compare to us as their agency. They can be pain in the ass sometimes. But as long as the requirement still make sense we will try our best to fulfill it.
Attitude has a big role too here, yes we are agency but that doesn't mean you can yell at us or send us CAPITAL letter (which means yell or angry) or write email in RED saying that you are not happy with us and we are stupid bla bla bla.

Client at new company has that intolerable attitude, she yells at you when she calls you, she writes in all CAPITAL and RED letter in email saying that you are stupid bla bla and cc to COO, MD, GM. I'm not sure I can handle that kind of attitude, even from biggest client.

My current client is unique, it's not easy to gain her trust, but when you do she will trust you all the way. I'm proudly say that I have a good relationship with her and the brand team.

3) Boss

You need to have a good chemistry with your boss, otherwise you can't work optimally as you have to deal with him/her daily.

I have no problem with this person whose offered me the job, but I don't think I can hang out with this person socially. Actually I was surprise when this person send me email and saying that this person is offering me a job, we don't say hi in real life even though we are at the same coffee house. Weird? Can't say more.

There will be new boss in my current company, in fact there will be 2 bosses. One is the International Business Director and one is Business Director, I'm looking forward to work with this IBD as my MD says that he's so damn good. Well, lets hope I can steal (in a good way) his knowledge for my self improvement.

4) Money

Let's be honest, money is important. Some of you might say that money can't buy happiness, yes that is correct. But I have to admit that I need the money, so money will be my other consideration in deciding which job I would take.

My current company willing to offer me as much as I got from the new company. So I have to appreciate it, no? Since I know what I got now is way above the range for my level (especially in this network), so I'm grateful for that.

For the time being, I'll stay.

Until I don't know when, because maybe God has other plans for me :)

Enough is enough

Just wondering how many malls that Jakarta needs?

I think we have enough mall here, especially if they sell and offer the same thing as others.

What we need here is a good park like in NY Central Park, so we have other place to go on the weekend and enjoying the day.

Mall-ing is pretty big thing here in Jakarta, almost in every corner you will see a new mall in development.

I know Jakarta is a big city, but is it big enough to handle mall in every 100 metres around the town?

The new Governor should really think of a better plan for this city, otherwise this city will be a village of malls and high building. No wonder if flood still become regular event every time rainy season comes.

Enough is enough, we need better place for our next generation. I don't want my kids to be mall rats in the future, I want them to have better place to go. I always see people taking their little baby (3 months old) to the mall, c'mon people mall is not a safe place for your baby, they could contact with germs and viruses from malls and people in the mall.

I admit it, I do like to go to the mall, for window shopping, real shopping, hang out with friends in one of the coffee club in mall or event a meeting point before we go somewhere else, but still I don't need so many malls like this.

In Sudirman and Senayan area, there are 8 malls: Plaza Senayan, Senayan City, ITC Senayan, Ratu Plaza, Sudirman Place (under development, opposite of Plaza Abda), Pacific Place, Auto Mall, Plaza Semanggi.

Do we still need more malls?

I don't think so.

We should leave something meaningful and important to our next generation, important enough rather than 100 malls.

Being Lazy but fit

Why do we need to exercise?

Why can't we get awesome body with doing nothing?

Yes I'm being lazy today, Sam is at the gym and he's waiting for me to come down at his second hour, according to some program in Men's Health magazine he has to spend 2 hours at the gym today, with activities running and cycling.

It's always hard to move my feet to the gym, I don't know why. Maybe because only the 2 of us there with our own iPod so I don't feel the excitement and euphoria as in the fitness centre. Also because I easily bore running on the treadmill. If Jakarta has fresh air like in other country whose less of pollution I would run outdoor.

When I was a member in Celebrity Fitness I always join Spinning Class and Body Combat.

What is spinning?

Spinning is a form of training that uses stationary exercise bicycles in an indoor group setting. Each individual may regulate his or her training intensity in the course of the session - by changing the cadence, flywheel resistance and even their cycling posture. Spinning increases endurance and particularly stimulates the largest muscles in the body: the buttocks, stomach and thighs.

Spinning is done in specially equipped rooms with any number of exercise bicycles. These bicycles have a simple, modern construction designed to make you feel like you’re really out on the road. With encouragement, and the right technique, participants quickly settle into a good training rhythm. Experienced instructors give the group advice, and provide individual
assistance, on how to get the most benefit from this training. The length of the session may vary.

Over time, spinning is guaranteed to make even the steepest hills seem smaller, whether you’re ascending them on a bicycle, on foot or skiing. Spinning is actually one of the most effective forms of endurance training known!

BODYCOMBAT™ is

the empowering cardio workout where you are totally unleashed. This fiercely energetic program is inspired by martial arts and draws from a wide array of disciplines such as Karate, boxing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi and Muay Thai. Supported by driving music and powerful role model
instructors strike, punch, kick and kata your way through calories to superior cardio fitness.

BODYCOMBAT™ class is choreographed to 10 tracks of the latest music, providing an exhilarating exercise experience that delivers ultra-fast fitness results.

Why I love those 2 classes?

Because you exercise in full room of people so could share all the excitement and all the screams, up beat music to speed up your heart rate and good instructors (sometimes cute too hee hee). I can join spinning and body combat class at the same day. That's show how much I love that classes, and the result was awesome. Why was? since I've been caught up with works so I can't go to the gym as much as used to be and also I eat a lot now, so bye bye to my fit body :))

Oops Sam is calling me, apparently his 1st hour has passed and now I have to join him at the gym.

Well I guess I have to go get ready otherwise he will lecture me about the importance of exercise and being healthy du du du du..

I dream to have hot body like Fergie, man look at that fabulous abs.. I better work out hard and do strict diet like her, but... I'm sooo lazy eerrrr....

I wonder if there is one pills that can change my body to be fit and tone in just 1 day *dreaming mode*

How to avoid hangover

BEFORE YOU DRINK:

Eat: Eat something that has vitamin B and C such as fruit. If you are going to an after hour party, you should eat early dinner before you go to the party or eat while you drink. The fructose in foods will help absorb alcohol.

Vitamins B & C: Take vitamins B & C. Alcohol will deplete nutrients from your body and the vitamins will help you replace what you lose from your body by drinking. Drinking orange juice, grapefruit juice, and grape juice will also help.

Drink Milk: Milk will help absorb alcohol slowly.

Know Your Body: If you had hangovers before, learn from your experience. Were you drinking dark liquor? Were you drinking different types of liquor all night? Were you drinking too fast? Try to analyze what your body can handle. Dark liquors (or colourless liquors) make some people feel sick. Some say drinking different types of liquors or liqueurs bring them headaches. However what you drink doesn't matter as much as how much you drink.

Do Not Drive: Do not drive a car to get to where you will be drinking unless you have somebody who can drive you back.

WHILE YOU DRINK:

Drink Water: always order a cup of water when ordering an alcohol beverage. Water will help rehydrate your system. The more water you drink, the better solution after the night.

Eat while you drink: Try to eat while you drink if possible. Food will not only help absorb alcohol slowly, but also slow your drinking pitch down.

Order fruit cocktails: Fresh fruit juice will replace the vitamins that you lose from your body while drinking. If you know that you are not a big drinker, try cocktails with simple ingredients such as Rum and Orange Juice or Vodka and Cranberry Juice etc.

Watch Your Pace: Never drink too fast. Drink as slow as possible. When you feel fine (meaning when you can tell or cannot tell that alcohol starts changing your behaviour, thinking, and sight etc.), you should stop drinking alcohol and drink water. If the party goes longer than you expected, order some fruit juice.

AFTER:

Drink Water: before going to bed, drink water. Do not drink coffee. Coffee will help dehydration.

Vitamins B & C: Take some vitamins before going to bed.

Sleep: sleeping may be difficult because your body temperature is higher than usual. If you can't go to sleep, drink more water. If you need to throw up, throw up. When you wake up, drink more water and eat some fruits and try to go back to sleep.

Despite all the things that you could do to avoid a hangover before you drink and as you drink, if you still get a hangover, you are not trying enough. Think about what went wrong and learn from your experience. And remember, drinking is supposed to be fun! Not to throw up at the end of the night.

Enjoy the party and hope you don't have to experience hangover like I have now :(

Wisdom teeth

I've been experienced headache for couple of days, I thought it's because I'm so lazy at work lol... but then I realize this headache come at the same time I have pain somewhere at the bottom right side of my mouth.

At first I thought maybe the pain caused by something I ate or because I've tried to eat with this side of my teeth (I usually eat with my left side of teeth). And when I change eat with my left side again the pain still there and won't go away arrrghhh....

Take a mirror and check on what caused the pain, and there it goes... it turns out my wisdom tooth is about to see the world and it's pushing the gum line (I'm sure the wisdom tooth is screaming to the gum line "let me out of here" :)).

I know I should see my dentist because sometimes the wisdom tooth fails to erupt completely through the gum bed and can caused bad condition and never ending pain. The last time I checked with my dentist was almost a year ago when I take off my braces, maybe it's about time to see her again.

Was wondering why they call this last teeth as wisdom teeth, and then I found this article from Wikipedia. They are generally thought to be called wisdom teeth because they appear so late—much later than the other teeth, at an age where people are wiser than as a child, when the other teeth erupt.

In my case, I don't think my wisdom will come after this wisdom teeth erupt :)

Need help

I will appreciate it if you could give me inputs on below subject, this will help so much with project I'm working on at the moment.

The insight:
Mom as super hero, Mom as general protector, means she protect her kids from everything.

For mum with kid age 1 to 3 years old:

What are the things mums usually do to protect their kids?

What kind of protections mum could provide for her kids?

What are the symbol of protections of mum to her kids?

Five Breakup Signs

How to tell when you're about to get the boot

One day, you are madly in love. You're cuddling on the couch, reading love poems and feeding each other sushi. And that's when it happens: Your partner sits you down for the "It's-Not-You, It's-Me" talk. You're confused and left wondering, "How could I have missed the signs?"

Breaking up is never easy. Your ego and heart are bound to get bruised. But if you could just see the breakup coming, it might make the whole business easier to stomach.

“While hindsight is 20/20, there are always warning signals”

Top five signs you're about to get dumped

1. Picking fights. No one is saying you have to get along 24/7. Constructive conflict can actually be good for your relationship. But if you find that your partner has become argumentative over petty issues like your clothes or choice of restaurant, that should serve as a warning sign that he/she may be looking for an excuse to bail.

2. Forgetting to call. Used to be that your phone would ring all day long with your sweetie wanting to make plans or calling just to say, "I love you." Now your significant other doesn't even call when he/she is running three hours late. It may seem obvious, but going from speed dial to a blocked number is a sure sign that your relationship may be nearing its expiration date.

3. Changing their stripes. A major change in appearance can be a sign that your partner is looking toward greener pastures. Whether they've chopped off their hair, lost 40 pounds or gone from a bold brunette to a sultry blonde, major cosmetic changes should be noted. Of course, there's nothing wrong with being a little vain, but if the change is accompanied by any of the other signs listed here, you may need to get ready to go solo.

4. Criticizing. If your sweetie isn't feeling you anymore, don't be surprised if he/she becomes less tolerant of everything, from how you brush your teeth to how you tie your shoes. Constant criticism is a telltale sign that your days as a twosome are numbered.

5. Losing sexual interest. A healthy sex life can make or break a relationship. If you find that your partner is becoming more sexually aloof, you need to get to the root of the issue. While it's natural to have less sex as you settle into a comfortable groove together, waiting weeks or months to have sexual contact is a sign that something is amiss.

Now that you know the warning signs, don't panic. Just because your partner exhibits some of these behaviors, that doesn't necessarily mean the relationship is over. In fact, it's usually a combination of signs and not one isolated incident that foreshadows a breakup.

If you're worried that your partner is itching to get out, the most important thing you can do is sit down and discuss your issues in an honest and open manner. If you take these signs as your cue to improve communication, your relationship may just have a fighting chance.

What are the 3 words in the English Dictionary that no other words rhyme with?

Alien vs Predator 2

Saturday, January 12, 2008

Been off for 2 days as Sam took the laptop to Solo with him.

Yes, we finally watched Alien vs Predator 2 after the education movies about Alien and Predator :)).

On Alien series, took 30 minutes to 1 hours to build the tension until we finally see the Alien. Before that we only see people die because of it.

Predator series is the same thing, took almost 1 hours when we finally see the Predator, before that we only see trees moving or shadow moving when it kills Arnold's troops (The Predator 1).

Different thing happens on Alien vs Predator 2, we can see the bad guys (Alien & Predator) just 30 seconds after the movie starts. Not a good looks though, coz the Alien is a bit different from the original series and I always think The Predator is such an ugly creature he he he.

This movie is not my fave one, to much violence for me, in just a minutes you've seen people killed by the Alien. The Alien's acid blood become more powerful than before, the blood can burn human's body and destroy human's hand right away after it touches human's body.

So along the movie I close my ears with my fingers so I can maintain so see what's going on on screen without jump off my seat because of the SFX, sometimes the SFX is much worst than the visual though.

I feel sorry for who ever actors inside those Alien & Predator outfit, must be hard for them to be in those outfit while filming.

But I admire the CGI on this movie, they really did a good job.

Jaya Pub

Above photo was taken at Jaya Pub, the eldest (correct me if I'm wrong) pub in Jakarta. For your information, that woman is Rima Melati, famous Indonesian in the 70s (sorry folk, can't find any English article about her).

They keep the retro feel and vintage interior design, not much changes since the seventies.

The music is rock n roll, sometimes I don't recognize the song. Maybe because I'm too young for that era or simply because I don't know rock musics :).
For me the music is too loud, we can't make any proper conversation there, sometimes we have to yell and scream so people can hear what we're saying.

I heard the food is good, but I haven't tried it though.

The environment, well it's kinda mix up crowd. You will find some old expatriates hang out there but you will also find young expats and not many of Indonesian.

So if you want to experience the authentic pub from 70s, you might want to come to Jaya Pub
and you might enjoy the intriguing quotes surround its decoration.

Too young to be famous

Browsing the net and here is what I found, poor Britney life must have been very cruel to her. This young girl (woman) has been living like a queen for the past years, and when love hits her she did what every girl would do, get married with the love of her life. Even though friends and family told her that the man is not good for her.

So at age 27 she is a mom of 2 sons. A mom whose losing custody of her child because of her irresponsible behaviour.

Other case, Amy Winehouse whose been in rehab for drug problem. She is a talented artist. Winehouse's debut album, Frank (released in 2003) was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Her 2006 album Back to Black led to six Grammy Award nominations including the "Big Four": Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. On 14 February 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist; she had also been nominated for Best British Album. She has won the Ivor Novello Award twice, among other prestigious distinctions.

Another story is Lindsay Lohan, pretty, sexy, successful and young.

All those 3 girls are talented artists, they all successful in a very young age. They reached the stage when they feel they are on top of the world with all the money and fame.

But there always be 2 sided in every coins, there always be consequences in everything we do, there always be downside from every step we took.

It's always up to us to make it right or make it worst, just like these 3 gals.

One wise person said that money and fame can't buy happiness. So what is the standard of happiness?

I believe the level of happiness in every people are different. What makes me happy, not necessary makes you happy and vice versa.

Must be hard to live a life like they have, cameras and fans always around them in 24 hours, if you do small mistakes then it will be in the news paper and TV in the next hours around the world.

They can't handle the fame in such a young age. But I guess age is only a number because I know some of "mature" artists who can't handle money and fame, in result they trapped with drugs and alcohol.

But I believe they can recover from all this mess, Drew Barrymore for example. She recovered from rebellious era and she's been good now.

So, I believe everybody can make a different if they have a strong will.

In work relation, I use toddler as talents for my TV commercial, why toddler? Because I'm handling GUM (Growing Up Milk) product. And sometimes I see moms who are eager to see their child on TV no matter if the child doesn't like it. Some moms will do anything to make their children famous.

I know a woman who sign up her daughter in modelling school as she wishes that her 12 y.o daughter will be someone famous one day. She knows that I'm working in advertising and I have to deal with talents, so she will ask me to cast her daughter and put her up in any TV commercial.

Other occasion my cousin text me yesterday saying she sent photos of her 9 months baby boy to my email, and she wishes her baby boy will be the talent of my next TV commercial.

What they do isn't wrong or bad, but they should be more responsible of what would happen next if someday their child will be really famous. They should be ready for any consequences, they should be there along the way, they should be protect their famous child and make sure that their famous child is always in the right track.

We've seen all the bad example of famous in such a young age, they should learn something from it.

Ah I almost forget that Jaime Lyn Spears is pregnant. She's only 16 for dear God.

Infidelity # 2

Came across to this site and read about this news. Maybe it's old news but still interesting to talk about. The reason why he divorce his wife is because he's in love with other woman and they already have a daughter together.

I also heard about a friend of mine is waiting for final decision of her divorce process of 10 years marriage.

Reason why, her husband is in love with other woman.

He really wants to be caught because he put his girlfriend's picture in his mobile phone and he tattooed his girlfriend's name on his arm.

My friend finally acknowledged that her husband has introduced his girlfriend to his mom and also his family knew about that girl, so she's the one who doesn't have any clue about what's going on.

The main reason why they married at the first place was love, but why along the way the love disappear?

And even though the love is still in there it involves someone else.

How come the passionate love can vanish just like that?

What makes a marriage could last forever?

I guess, no one knows the answer because marriage is gamble, you wouldn't know what you get until you're in it.

Cute ad

Cute ad for Malaysian Independence day from Petronas.

Looking at the multiracial issue from kids point of view, this ad brings smile to my face although I don't agree with boyfriend and girlfriend exploitation.

Sunday brunch

Just got back from Sunday brunch at Ritz Carlton, maybe I'm too drunk (4 hours lunch with non stop sparkling wine) to write but I think I still have clear head to analyse what's going on down there.

There is one girl whose sit in between 2 men, and we got confusion to guess whose she's with coz none of the men are introduced us to her.

And along the way we kinda noticed that she's trying to divide her attention to this guys, and every time she touches guy on her right side the guy on her left side tries not to look to them and make conversation to us so none of us would notice what's going on.

Stuart (Anita's husband) made comment about competition going on between these 2 guys but none of them are made any comment about it and they are trying their best to switch topic.

Anita and I couldn't stand to gossip about what's going on in front of our eyes so we exchange SMS to discuss about this situation, coz none of the guys are made any comments whose she's with.

Maybe she flattered (coz who ever asked her to join the brunch) was willing to introduce her to his other friends.

So my question will be like this, is that true when a guy is ready to introduce the girl he's dating to his friends that means he's ready for the next step with her?

Well, I guess this question more suits to the men, but could works the same thing with woman though. When a woman/girl is ready to introduce someone she's dating to her friends that means she's ready for the next step with the guy?

Or who ever asked her to come along just don't think any of that, maybe he just thinks that would be nice to ask someone new to the group so he won't be the only guy with partner?

Would be happy to get your opinion on that matter, feel free to write your comments :)

Movie Marathon

Alien vs Predator 2 is showing at the cinema.

We plan to watch it, but to give me better understanding about the movie (yeah people, I haven't seen any of Alien, The Predator and Alien vs Predator 1 movie) now we are spending our weekend by watching all those movies.

Finished Alien 4 this morning, and just finished The Predator 1.

I know for sure that I'll have bad dreams tonight because there are so much violence in those movies. And I will constantly covering my eyes with my hand every time the aliens or the Predator kill the good guy.

Yeah.. I'm a woman anyway.. I couldn't stand to see blood in the movie, I can stand watching war movie because the guy will died right away after the bullet hit him, but on the violence movie the guy will be in pain and there will be too much blood.

That is why I can not be a doctor, because I can not stand to see blood! :)

Have a great weekend folks!

Virtually real

One of my dear blogger friend has decided to go offline, meaning she won't post anything on her blog starting today, instead she will write on her offline journal.

That is sad though, because I like her writings, her poems and her mushy thoughts.

I don't know her personally, but seems like I know her well through her writings. She said she needs a break from all of this internet drama(s).

Let's just hope that she will be back someday and feed us again with her beautiful and inspiring words on this blog.

There is another occasion when Anita told me that this blogger received an email threats from someone who didn't like what s/he wrote and then the next day s/he deleted her/his blog.

Made me thinking, could this blog thingy, the internet drama(s) of what so called virtual world suffocate our lives?

Does the virtual world really exist?

Or what we called virtual world now become real world?

Life is.......

I learn something when I read this blog and this blog.

And I want to share this with all of you, sometimes we are too busy to pleased someone else and forget about our loved ones.

I hope my late dad and brother know that I love them, even though I didn't show it much when they still with us :(

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
