Visit Indonesia 2008

TV Commercial teaser for the upcoming Visit Indonesia Year 2008.

Indonesia tourism promotion program for the year 2008 by The Ministry of Culture and Tourism Republic of Indonesia.

TVC VO (voice over):
"The sound of invitation is rising, waiting for you to come... It's time for you to visit Indonesia"

Although we have bigger issues rather than only a nice TV Commercial, but I think this is a good start.

Well done to Octovate & 25 Frames team.

Keep up the positive attitude folks!

Is it the end or the beginning?

I have attended 2 weddings on last weekend and another 4 coming on December, what a busy schedule.

And again the usual question will be popped up by friends
"so when is your big day?", "don't be too long in a relationship lah, just ended you journey by marrying him/her" errrrr.....

Something tickles me, why people think marriage is the end of the journey?

I would agree if they say it as the end of a single life, but it's not the end of the life journey.
I think, marriage is just the beginning of another journey, beginning of another phase of life.

Talked to a friend couple days ago and asked her question whether she feels that her life is complete now after married and deliver a cute baby boy, but she said she didn't quite feel that way.
She just feels composed, as she has achieved some of her goals, but then she has to achieve another goals like how to raise my boy to be a better person than his parents, can I raise him the way I want him to, can I support him for whatever he wants in life, can I always be by his side until the day he married and so many questions and goals to be achieved.

Witnessing so many divorces in my close circle and society, makes me believe that marriage is only the beginning of another phase of life not the end, until you spend the rest of your life only with him/her and you literally close your eye when the death comes on his/her arm.

Movember

You want to know why I put up this guy's photo?

And what is Movember?

Movember - Changing the face of Men's Health

Movember the month formerly known as November is a charity event held during November each year.
At the start of Movember guys register with a clean shaven face. The Movember participants known as Mo Bros then have the remainder of the month to grow and groom their moustache and along the way raise as much money and awareness about male health issues as possible.

The obvious question is why?

The answer is because men lack awareness about the very real health issue they face, have an "eveything's okay" attitude and are reluctant to see a doctor about an illness or to go for regular medical checks.

The aim of Movember is to change these attitudes, make male health fun by putting the Mo back on the face of fashion and in the process raise some serious funds for key male health issues.

And why moustache?

Because moustache is not a fashion trend nowadays, so all the Mo Bros are willing to answer a lot of questions from people why he grows a moustache, willing to receive pro and cons about his moustache, accept what people say about his new appearance with moustache such as "you look older with that moustache" or "you look like Tom Selleck (means famous celebrity back then, yeah back back then)", "you look like Pak Raden (famous Indonesian character in the 80s)" accept the reality that he can not kiss his girlfriend without her giggles every time he does that.

Yeah, the Mo Bros are willing to live like that for the whole month in the name of good cause and to help his other brothers in the future.

For more detail information check this out and to sponsor his Mo click to this and enter registration no: 166636, it's time to give your money for good cause.

It's Friday!

It's time to let go all the stress...

It's time to enjoy the short break....

It's time to enjoy this drink...

It's time to hang out with your loved ones...

Let's hope that the traffic jam isn't so bad... Ah, Jakarta, Friday night + rain is hell

Where did my passion go?

Passion, obsession, infatuation, excitement, enthusiasm, love, desire, fascination, emotion, rage, mania.....

All of above are the words that I got when I look up at the dictionary for word "Passion".

I used to be very passionate with my work, I put my heart in to it, I love it, I love the dynamic pace, I like the creative ideas, I like the process (even though sometimes bleeding), and the pressure sometimes really high and not to mention about the long hours, but still... I love my work.

I don't know how it starts, but suddenly I realize it's just gone. What I do know is just work to get the job done, no heart on my work, it's just the job.

I have asked my self lots of questions about this, is it the office environment? is it the client? is it the team? is it the whole industry? or what?

Honestly, I don't know the answer, could be the office environment as being the only ATL
team in the activation agency is tough, or maybe because being dedicated team for this client is not challenging enough for me, or maybe because I have problem with this creative person and it starts to become personal.

I know, should not mix business with personal but I can not help it. I really hate people who is nice in front of me but act in opposite at my back, if you have problem with me, talk to me directly, don't be a back stabber!

I want to have the passion of my work, I want to feel the same way as used to be, I want to put my heart into my work.

If o
ne of you who read this blog knows how to bring back the passion, please let me know coz I desperately need it.

Then came along the million dollar questions, does my passion will comeback if I move to other company? Or I will feel the same way but in different environment?
Or maybe even a big step, try the whole new industry aside of advertising? Will it bring my passion back?

For the time being, I don't know the answer.
