There is famous Indonesian dangdut song with lyric "better got teeth ache than broken heart"..
I'm totally disagree with that statement!
This damn wisdom teeth want to see the world and they're pushing the gum, damn it hurts!
Apologize if I swear a lot, but it hurts. It hurts when I swallow, it hurts when I eat, it hurts when I drink and it even hurts when I do nothing :((
Just did x-ray this morning and waiting for dentist diagnose, but she said definitely must do small surgery for my lower wisdom teeth, arrghhh....
Psst.. I'll tell you a secret...
I have never had surgery, and I am scared of the surgery :). Please keep this to your self ok! ;)

LOL I agree with you 500%! I'd rather be broken hearted than having toothache, it feels like hell!!!!!!!
Poor you! I have always been scared of dentists so it's not a good combination, and dentists here are infamous for ripping off their patients for their astronomical fees.
I guess when you're having toothache, you'd rather be having a heartbreak. And vice versa...
Also a secret... the wisdom tooth surgery hurts more that the toothache itself... *LOL* Other than looking and feeling a bit weird after the surgery, you'll be fine. Good luck with the surgery!
You'll be fine. I had my one taken out last month: the first time I entered the room, I didn't understand why the surgeon had 2 male nurses. When he started cutting my teeth (yeah, baby) I got it. Well, you'd find it yourself! Oh, I have another one, so the surgeon is expecting to see me in 6 months.
Think about the good side. You are not going to be able to have solid food for a week, you'd stick with porridge and voila!, you'd lose 2 kgs without even trying...
Good luck!
Hii ...serem.
My dentist said that I should underwent surgery for my wisdom teeth, but I refused.
It's better be there :-(
totally agree with u too!! Broken-heart at least won't make you feel like something is drilling right into your brain... Broken-heart at least won't make other places hurt. I had all my wisdom teeth pulled out already btw...
Hang in there Ecky! :)
My wisdom teeth were giving me so much pain as well when they were coming out (I was around 21-22 yrs old when this happened).
I couldn't sleep and it felt strange when eating, but I got myself checked by the dentist, she didn't want to perform early surgeries because some people could have their wisdom teeth growing and not bothering them once they were out - it was the process that was annoying.
Come to think of it I guess that's why my jaws are so big... it's the wisdom teeth' fault LOL
Yupe, found it at Youtube through googling. It was Meggy Z :D.
It really depends on when you get the pains, as people's memory is sometimes so short...
It's certainly not "lebih baik sakit hati daripada sakit gigi" either. It's probably a lot easier to get help for and get away from sakit gigi though :).
Get well soon non...
Have to disagree with this one, Ecky. With toothache, I can take pain killer. When I have heartache, nothing kills the aching. I can't get out of bed for at least a day, and the pain stays for weeks, even months, and not only the head but the mind is going berserk!
Fortunately, my wisdom teeth is not bothering me, but I had a nasal operation Late February. The only pain killer given to me was Ponstan and when the anasthetic was gone, I was so much in pain. I mean, it's my nose, close to the brain, hello doctor, gimme something stronger! Luckily, my buddy who went through the same operation is extremely prepared: he brought his own painkiller and shared it with me. Helped me go to sleep.
So make sure your doctor is prepared with more than just Ponstan, just in case it doesn't work! Good luck, you will be ok!
Just to cheer you up I will relate to you my wisdom teeth -pulling- experience. I had to get all 4 of my teeth pulled on the same day. Two teeth were impacted which meant that they were growing against the jawbone. Those teeth had to be cut into 4 sections and pulled out 1 by 1. I think that my mouth was swollen up like a giant girble for 2 weeks.
The silver lining in all of this was that the drugs they gave me were really really good. Insist on percocets when you go in.
Rgds

@ Parvita: Please tell me that strong pain killer, cos I'm allergic to Ponstan :(
